PSHE: Working Together Our weekly PSHE lessons support children's personal development and help prepare them for life both now and in the future. PSHE means Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education. Lessons help children learn about themselves and others, develop healthy relationships, understand their emotions, stay safe and develop the skills to make positive choices. Each week, your child's teacher will post the upcoming PSHE topic before it is taught on Class Dojo. This means you'll know what your child will be discussing in school and can continue the conversation at home. Make sure you are signed up to your child's class on Class Dojo. If you need support doing this, please see a member of staff. The Year 6 girls had a lovely afternoon at Northampton School for Girls yesterday watching the Wonder Lab science show. They saw many experiments, including some exploding chemistry ones and learnt about many female pioneers of science. Most importantly though, as always their behaviour was impeccable and they shone in terms of manners and being responsible spectators of a show. Thank you to everyone who donated and visited our cake sale for Macmillan Cancer Support today. We will total up all cash and QR donations and let you know at the start of next week how much you raised. In other news, we've sent out forms for children to join our Young Voices choir and perform in Birmingham, started a cross country team tonight and observed some amazing learning across our school. However, I think the most exciting thing that happened this week was the additions to our outdoor spaces. We've added communication boards to both playgrounds and created a road and parking bays for our young children. What a busy week! This Friday is our Macmillan Cancer Support cake sale. Children can come to school in non-uniform in exchange for a donation of a cake. Our cake sale will be at the back of the hall from 3pm. Year 5 are all very excited to meet their Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust - NMPAT teacher and her fantastic selection of brass instruments. This is going to be a great project and a wonderful skill to learn. The children will be learning to play their instrument throughout Year 5 and will be bringing it home soon. #workhard #nmpat #thearts #musiceducationmatters
