The Academy Uniform

All of our Trust schools adhere to the same high expectations with uniform, and Green Oaks is no exception to this.  Wearing our school uniform is important because it helps create a strong sense of community and belonging among all pupils. When everyone wears the same uniform, it promotes equality and reduces distractions, allowing students to focus on learning. It also shows pride in our school and reflects our high expectations for all—encouraging pupils to take responsibility, act respectfully, and strive for excellence in everything they do.

Uniforms help pupils feel part of something bigger than themselves. They remind us that we are all working together as one team, supporting each other and representing our school with pride. This shared identity builds unity and helps everyone feel included, no matter their background.

By wearing the uniform properly, pupils show they are ready to learn and meet the high standards we set. It’s a simple but powerful way to show commitment to our values and to the success of our whole school community.

We do expect all our pupils to wear the full academy unform, however we understand that due to the cost of living crisis and additional costs to households, this may not always be possible. If this is the case, please speak to your child's class teacher or a member of SLT.
